Welcome to the International Conference PLMMP-2016!

Understanding of Liquid Metter properties is the cornerstone for many scientific and engineering disciplines including physics, chemistry, materials science and medicine. It provides the basis for the research in different fields from biological objects to supernovae behavior. The combination of experiments, theory and simulation allows scientists to study complex systems from the molecular all the way to macroscopic level.

The Conference will be held on May 27-30, 2016, in the capital of Ukraine ancient city Kyiv. The PLMMP-2016 Conference is organized by the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (KNU), Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (NASU). The scientific program covers the most recent developments in the broader field of liquid state including interdisciplinary problems. The format of the conference is based on invited lectures, oral presentations and posters. The conference language is English.

• Water, water systems and biomedical applications
• Quantum liquids and solutions
• Ionic and ionic-electronic liquids and solutions (molten salts and metals)
• Polymer and biopolymer solutions
• Mixtures of fullerenes, nanotubes, nanoplatelets with liquids
• Colloidal systems: ferrofluids, nano-diamonds, fluids with self-organization; clay suspensions
• Liquids at interfaces, under confinement, and in porous media
• Radiative aspects of the physics of liquid state
• Phase transitions and critical phenomena in liquids and liquid systems
• Glass-forming liquids
• Small-angle neutron scattering and X-rays in liquids and liquid systems

There also will be a roundtable discussion: “Neutron and X-ray scattering methods for structure diagnostic of liquid nanosystems” held in the course of the PLMMP-2016 devoted to 60th anniversary of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR) and 50th anniversary of the collaboration between JINR and Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
